Despite regular group classes being the best place to learn & sharpen your jiu jitsu skills, private lessons can be a great way to supplement your training. Usually on a one to one basis with one of our experienced and qualified black belts, but can also be arranged to involve a small group session.
Private lessons allow you and your teacher to get together to concentrate on something to help you with your own personal goals. You may want help with your fitness, assistance with some techniques from class or preparation for competition. It’s an opportunity to have personalised instruction on a subject of your choice, clarifying any doubts you may have on any subject or offer a different perspective that you may not have previously considered.
If you have any issues or injuries that affect you during a regular class, we can work around that so you can still enjoy a great work out and improve your jiu jitsu. Private classes are bespoke so we can always find an alternative way to ensure you don’t miss out.
We take great pride in planning our training and the same applies for our private lessons, we ensure they’re varied, fun and exciting. We’ve got no end of drills and techniques to ensure that your learning continues to fun and invigorating, we will give you the tools required to enhance your ability to apply techniques proficiently and consistently.
We’ll keep an eye on your progress, see how your fitness is increasing and how your technical ability is improving. The two go hand in hand, one begets the other. We can also assist with nutrition plans and provide some training routines to work on at home to further supplement your progress.
We will pre plan & tailor every session just for you. If your goal is increased fitness for martial arts then we can focus the session on body weight exercises and technique drills to improve cardio & strength. If you want some specific help with your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training then we can offer an in-depth exploration of techniques and positional situations.
If you can’t make it to our regular classes or if you’re just looking to supplement your training then private lessons and group sessions can be arranged at a time convenient to you. We have spaces during the day, in the evening or at weekends.
